  • Perform for schools, libraries, camps, scouts, parties and private events.

  • Each show is 45 minutes long and performed by just one person.

  • Each crowd can have as many as 300 kids or as few as 2.

  • Most kids will be between 3-12 years old.

About You

  • Tons of energy and enthusiasm!

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Punctual and organized.

  • Have a variable / flexible schedule.

  • Comfortable interacting with kids of all ages.

  • Experience performing / storytelling.

  • Like to work independently.

  • Willing to submit to a background check.

  • Must own a reliable, trustworthy car, have a valid license and insurance policy, and be willing to drive up to 125 miles. Sorry, no exceptions.

There’s NO NEED to know anything about science! We will teach you everything!

ScienceTellers is a part-time job with variable scheduling, best suited for:

  • Actors looking for part-time performing work.

  • Side-giggers and "solopreneurs" — someone who balances multiple side jobs, gigs and projects.

  • Teachers looking for summer gigs.

We have two seasons:

Summer (Jun-Aug) - contracted

  • Summer is our busiest time of the year, especially in established areas. You should have lots of availability if you want to work during the summer.

  • We offer a guaranteed number of shows/pay depending on your area.

  • After summer, most people stay on for the school year.

  • Apply before May 1. The earlier the better!

School year (Sep-May) - NO Contract

  • Workload is lighter and more sporadic than summer, especially in newer cities.

  • No contract — we book programs based around your schedule/availability.

  • You can choose to stay on for the summer.

  • Apply year-round.

  • $100 per show, plus tips.

  • $20 travel stipend per show.

  • Reimbursement for all tolls and parking.

  • 10% bonus for repeat customers and referrals.

  • Opportunity for a raise each year.
