2014-2015 School Year Program

Sciencetellers performs library programs throughout the school year, including shows for Halloween, National Library Week, winter and spring breaks. Children in grades K–5 will be totally immersed in our 45-minute interactive storytelling show, featuring tons of exciting hands-on science experiments!

If you're in the room, you're part of the story! Each original and suspenseful story features experiments of a different science topic. The story for the 2014-2015 school year is called "Bugs of Blackwood."

"Bugs of Blackwood"

Benjamin has a good life living on Blackwood Avenue. Most of his neighbors are friendly. He has a large extended family always there for him. On most days you’ll find him working in the garden. However, all this was about to change the day he was accidentally brought inside the house! You see, Benjamin is a bug — and now he must be rescued!

Join us as we learn about the science of matter through the tale of the "Bugs of Blackwood." Through interactive experiments with fire, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals and much more, we will find out if Benjamin’s friends — a tiny ant and a hungry caterpillar — can save him before all hope is squashed!

Don't forget! Sciencetellers offers same-day block-booking discounts with other libraries in your area.
