Our exciting Halloween program combines two of the coolest areas of science: dry ice and your imagination!

It's never too early to book a Halloween show for your library. Sciencetellers also has programs for National Library Week, winter and spring breaks, and for the summer reading theme each year.

We offer deeply discounted rates if you book with one or two other local libraries on the same day. You do not have to book at the same time to receive the discount!

2015 HALLOWEEN PROGRAM: "DRAGONS & Dreams"

In a faraway world with castles, kings, an ice sorceress and a powerful item called the Horn of Fire, two young villagers take a daring journey to release the dragons and save the entire kingdom!

Join us as we learn all about dry ice and the shifting states of matter through the tale of "Dragons & Dreams." Wouldn't dragon's breath be an amazing sight to see?! Well, get ready to see it ... feel it ... maybe even taste it! This story features interactive and explosive experiments with dry ice, fog, smoke-filled bubbles, flying rockets and more. Enjoy this spectacular adventure and be swept away to a world where dragons are real and dreams come true — and where only the most daring of people will survive to tell the tale!

"Dragons & Dreams"
Length: 45 minutes. Grades: K–5.

2015 SUMMER READING PROGRAM: "SUPER HEROES"

In this original collection of slightly twisted tales, all the teachers at school are suspected to have superpowers! Join us on a hilarious new adventure where, just like in science, things aren't always quite what they seem. We will launch things through the air, send them plummeting toward the ground, and even make matter transform and disappear right before your eyes!

Throw on your labcoat and buckle in — you are about to experience forces and reactions through several exciting, hands-on experiments that will have you laughing, learning and having fun. Savor each endearing adventure and find yourself transported to a special place where 'super' heroes truly do exist!
