The Bugs of Blackwood (Matter)  **Summer Reading Theme 2013**

Benjamin has a good life living on Blackwood Avenue.  Most of his neighbors are friendly.  He has a large extended family always there to help him.  And on most days you’ll find him working in the garden.  However, all this was about to change the day he was accidentally brought into the house.  You see, Benjamin is a bug and now he must be rescued!  Join us as we learn about the science of matter by telling the tale of The Bugs of Blackwood.  By using experiments with fire, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals, and much more; see if Benjamin’s friends can save him before all hope is squashed!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

Dragons & Dreams (Theme - Fire & Ice)   **Summer Reading Theme 2012**

With castles, kings, a dragon keeper, an Ice Sorceress, the Horn of Fire, two villagers, and a daring journey to save the entire kingdom, enjoy this spectacular adventure as we're swept away to a world where dragons are real, dreams come true, and only the most daring of people will survive to tell the tale!  Join us as we learn about the science of Fire & Ice by telling a tale of Dragons & Dreams using experiments of flash paper, exploding bottles, "cool" dry ice, and much more.  Wouldn't dragon's breath be an amazing sight!?!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

Wizards - The Race around the World (Illusions)  **Summer Reading Theme 2011**

“There’s no time to waste, we have to leave now!”  And with that, the race begins, as two unlikely heroes have to travel the world searching for the clues that will stop a terrible evil.  With each step forward, they are drawn dangerously deeper into a world of magic and surprises!  Join us as we learn about the science of illusions as we tell the tale of Wizards - The Race around the World.  With visual experiments and exciting audience participation, help our two heroes before all is lost!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 4-12.

Pirates - The Curse of the Mutating Hand (Theme - Liquid & Density)   **Summer Reading Theme 2010**

In a time when pirates sailed the seven seas, there was one pirate who was feared the most. His name was Hendricks the Hand and he was cursed with a mutating hand.  But this curse gave him power and now seeking to become unstoppable he must return to the place that cursed him…The Black Cave.  In an attempt to protect the seas, the famous pirate James Dauer gathered a crew which included quartermaster Sam Sullivan and set sail for The Black Cave!  Join us as we learn about the science of Liquid & Density by telling the tale of The Curse of the Mutating Hand.  By boiling water in a paper cup, crushing a can with only water, creating a mutating hand, and exploding bottles through evaporation, see if James Dauer can stop Hendricks before its too late!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

The Jungle of Jersey (Theme - Everyday Science)   **For 2010**

When Doug hears that there might be a better place to live than where he is now, he can’t pass up the opportunity to find it.  However, there are three problems: he is a dog, he lives in a pet store, and he must somehow get through the Jungle of Jersey!  Join us as we learn about everyday science by telling this tale of animal adventure using smoke rings, disappearing water, flying eggs, and sound effects directly from the “Jungle” itself.  With help from friends both old and new along the way, see if Doug can make it through the Jungle of Jersey…before Rush Hour!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

Trapped at Tripletree (Forces)  **Summer Reading Theme 2009**

Somewhere on a quiet street, you will find the oldest building in a town called Tripletree.  Many people say it's filled with secrets.  Some are convinced they’ve seen things through the windows.  Still others have entered and have never been the same again.  Despite all these warnings, those that enter should be fine, so long as they leave at night before the clock strikes nine.  However, this was not the case for Charlie and Abby, who got locked inside and are now trapped in the oldest building in town… The Tripletree Library!  Join us as we learn about the science of forces by telling the tale of Trapped at Tripletree.  By using experiments that can be tried at home with force, pressure, leverage, water, and much more; discover what happens inside the library after it’s closed!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

The Planet of the Others (Theme - Space, Fire, & Light)   **For 2009**

In a future with space travel, force fields, and technology beyond understanding, the Earth that you know, no longer exists!  You see, tension is mounting on Earth between the peaceful northern hemisphere and the renegade southern hemisphere.  Desperate to save his hemisphere from the powerful General Stare and the South, the President of the North sends Larkin, his only daughter and her pilot, Lt. Lightspeed to retrieve important technology from the Planet of the Others.  Join us as we learn about the science of Fire & Light by telling the tale of the Planet of the Others.  Using a Tesla Coil, flash paper, firework glasses, exploding bottles, and much more, discover whether Larkin and Lightspeed will make it back to Earth in time!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

Midnight at Normandy (Electricity)  **New for 2008**

What you are going to hear is not a bedtime story; in fact, it’s not a story at all.  You see, in a town not too far away from here there was a kid named Jonathan who never had trouble falling asleep…until the night he heard a sound and saw a light coming from the shed in his backyard.  Against his better judgment, Jonathan snuck out of the house, walked through the darkness, and discovered he’s not alone!  Join us as we use exciting equipment to learn about the science of electricity by telling the tale of Midnight at Normandy.  By using a Tesla Coil, Van de Graaff Generator, insulators, and conductors, discover exactly what Jonathan saw inside the shed!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

Potions (Theme - Dry Ice)   **Halloween Theme 2007**

On the outskirts of school grounds, sits a building named Doolittle, which contains a hidden underground laboratory.  And as the story goes, Doolittle is watched by a ferocious guard determined to protect its mysteries forever.  Join us as we learn about the concept of matter, its three states (solid, liquid, and gas), and how to change matter from one state to another by telling the tale of Doolittle as we discover the secrets of this hidden laboratory, perform narrow escapes, witness surprising discoveries, and reveal an unbelievable ending.  With screaming quarters, jets of gas to taste, popping potions, incredible showers of smoke-filled bubbles, and buckets of fog, discover how all of this is created by the two “coolest” things in the world...Dry Ice and Imagination!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

Sundown on Sycamore Street (Theme - Air Pressure)   **Halloween Theme 2005**

On the edge of town there is a street call Sycamore, which holds a frightening secret.  So terrible is the legend of Sycamore Street that every child in town knows never to get caught there after dark.  But Bill and his sister Terry just moved into town and they were never told!  Join us as we learn about the science of gas and air pressure by telling the tale of Bill and Terry’s adventure through town as they chase floating ghosts, hide from town bullies, and escape from danger.  Using fiery spiders, exploding water jugs, floating eyeballs, a whirlwind of toilet paper, and amazing dry ice experiments, discover why Sycamore Street at sundown is a very scary place!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.
